PCMAG reviewed the ThinkPad X41 and said "IBM's first tablet is first-rate and will surely bring some buzz to the tablet community. It's the lightest convertible around, and the screen has a perfect paper-like feel for writing."

PC World said this of the Hewlet Packard Compaq TC4200 "the TC4200's magnesium alloy casing is lightweight and can take a few knocks.
